Audio-visual inspiration, Ep.3
Hello guys and gals! Welcome to another edition of what I've been vibing lately. If you have something that you think I'd love, please get in touch and let me know!
Let's get straight into it!
If you know me, then you know Japan is a place that I love; for a multitude of reasons, but first and foremost for how beautiful it is. This first video inspires me through a combination of cinematographic skills, and through moments that make my heart clench, as if I wish I was there. That's something that I really want to learn from; I want my work to leave the same impact on you. I hope you enjoy seeing this as much as I did! Thank you @_ellzz for the recommendation!
ps. watch at maximum quality for maximum feels. The scoring is abbbbbbsolutely killer!
Another video I recently discovered (and am absolutely digging) is this one, by Apple -insert blatant promotion here- nah jokes, but seriously.
Not much to say about this one, except that it's backed by an amazing track by Sam Smith, off his new album. Melancholy Christmas vibes; I'm all about that shit.
For those of you that have been following me, you'll know that I have been working on a really exciting project with my good friend Annie (@annniebui / Soundcloud), an extraordinary beatmaker who I've known since the start of my journey more than two years ago. For me, this is a culmination of sorts of our paths together; from fellow photographers, to friends, and now to collaborators. It's been a long journey and I'm glad it's reached this point!
Unfortunately, that video is not quite ready yet; in the meantime, let me regale you with some top quality anime soundtrack music:
Kimi Ga Iru - Yokoyama Masaru, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso
Not to be confused with Initial D.
First Love - Joe Hisashi
Just incredible. Reminds me of the days when I used to play the popular hack n'slash Dynasty Warriors for some reason.
Summer Wind - Frank Sinatra
Pulled this classic from the Blade Runner 2049 soundtrack. I'd actually really love to cut a video to this; anyone down?
